About Me

IMG_5575.JPG

Journalism to me is about giving people a voice and telling stories that deserve to be heard. I’ve always been curious about people and the experiences that shape their lives, which is what first drew me to storytelling. As a journalism student at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, I’ve been able to turn that curiosity into hands-on experience in television news, digital media and broadcast production.

Through my work at Arizona PBS and the Arizona Board of Regents, I’ve gained experience researching stories, writing, producing, filming and editing content. I enjoy being involved throughout the storytelling process, from developing an idea to seeing the finished story reach an audience. My goal is to continue growing as a multimedia journalist and tell stories that inform, connect and make an impact.

Outside of journalism, I’ve always loved performing! I started acting during my sophomore year of high school and have had the opportunity to play lead roles in short films and work as an extra on television productions. Acting taught me how to become comfortable in front of a camera, take direction and connect with an audience, skills that have also helped me grow as a journalist.

Outside of acting, I also love line dancing. It has become one of my favorite things to do in my free time! Especially because I love country music and being around people. It’s a fun way for me to step away from school and work, meet new people and try something outside of my usual routine.
